I am a person who is what he does. Rather than fit into role, the role and I meet somewhere in the middle in a new and yet to be created space.

The upside is how and why I do things imparts a unique contribution that allows me to achieve things that perhaps someone else couldn’t – certainly not the way I can.

The downside is that fit becomes everything. If I can’t find the right community or organisation to make camp in, I’m stuck like a ship with no ocean.

What I have learned is that though the places I can belong and truly express myself are few and far between, when I can find one, my contribution is limited only to my will to participate .

The truth is, this is the same for all of us.
