It’s sexy to start big. It’s also incredibly difficult.
A better place to start is to learn how to take care of the small stuff. Stuff like being organised enough so you don’t turn up late or forget to send that email or so you really know that subject inside out. Doing stuff off your own bat when no one is looking or nudging you into action is called self-leadership.
Letting other people’s actions (or inaction) determine yours is one sure way of living a life on someone else’s terms.
Can you lead your own life when you are living by reaction?
By excising your self-leadership muscle early you’ll stand a great chance of making count it when the opportunity rises to something that really matters.
